Recommended by the guy at the store. I'm not sure this would have been my first choice, but reviews online say it works alright so I'll see how it goes.

In California we have very very dry air. When it gets warm the humidity in the tent drops to near zero. This device can boost that number up by about 20-30%, but has to be on constantly. Luckily it has a tank bigger than a fire truck.

I'm not sure I buried my clones deep enough in the soil because every time I water the rockwool becomes exposed.

Also, I definitely was overzealous with the watering tonight. The trays below the plants have about 1-2 cm of water in them right now. I turned the fans on higher and pointed the secondary fan directly at the pots to encourage evaporation.

The original reason I watered was because the dirt felt dry one knuckle's length down on 2-3 of the pots. I need to remember that it's ok to water some of the plants but not all of them.

Some of the images make it appear that the tips of the leaves are very yellow. That's the iPhone camera inducing colors. The leaves look green to the eye.

Like the bible says, I initiated a nutrient regimen that starts at 1/4 of the recommended strength. From here I can increase to 1/3 strength if needed.

I'm having trouble keeping the humidity in the tent above 40%. To combat this, I'm leaving a fair amount of standing water in the catch trays. Hopefully this will vaporize with the high temperatures in the tent (around 83 degrees F).

I took the T5 light out of the tent today and put in a 6 inch reflector with an MH bulb. I think 2 weeks works great under the T5 for rooted clones. Might need 3-4 under the T5 if I'm doing the cloning myself.

I filled the catch tray about 2/3 full of water and did not add any nutrients. This should be ok given how warm it is during the day and evening right now. Average temperature in the tent is about 84 F.

I recorded a timelapse video of my plants over the last 18 hours and right at the end of the video the plants' leaves all droop. I'm hypothesizing that the droop is due to a lack of water. I'll be running another timelapse to see if I can confirm the suspicion.

Problem

problem:feed water on leaves
Comments

This hasn't been a problem until today but it appears that feed water burned a few of my plants because I fed using the 'shower' feature on my watering can and got feed water all over the leaves and branches of my plants. This appears to have burned the plants in very specific areas. The only reason I can guess as to why this is a problem now is because today's watering was the first watering using peppermint oil. I sure hope the oil doesn't hurt the roots.

Problem

x

problem:leaf burn
Comments

All of the plants have exhibited leaf burn to some degree since watering yesterday. There was an extreme droop and shrivel that many of the leaves/branches took on immediately after watering, but this problem is different as it affects leaves/branches that are still rigid. Instead, it causes these leaves/branches to take on yellow and brown spots. I've watered the severely affected plants with clean water to see if I can flush some of the bad chemicals out of the soil.
